Write one leaf about the iPad.

writeoneleaf:

It may be too soon, but there seem to be a lot of opinions floating around the electro-web today about Apple’s iPad announcement, so we might as well write some down. Make a prediction. Say ho-hum. Make fun of the name.

Have at it.

The iPad is the freaking same thing as iPhone, except it’s, well bigger and more expensive. Is it supposed to be a laptop computer or a bigger version of iPhone/iTouch? I don’t really get it.

It looks very high tech, but if someone has it, will they really feel comfortable bringing it around with them, and taking it out on the airplane or whatnot and using it? I wouldn’t.

The iPad is probably going to be a big seller though, since Apple is already an established company that has been successfull. But, truly?

If there were other companies who built the iPhone/iPod/iTunes gig, I wouldn’t use Apple. Especially iTunes. I can’t tell you how many problems I’ve had with it. And the prices are totally not fair. Why can they raise prices just because the song is popular? What a rip-off. ‘If you buy the album, it’s cheaper.’ By what, 50 cents? woww. that’s great. what savings. whoo.

Band: Local Solo & Ensemble Festival; Clarinet Choir, Trio and Solo on Saturday
Enopi: Booklet 25 Level 4, 26 Level 1 by Thursday

The Circuit Project is worth 100 points. The science and ss tests are huge deals because they wrap up a chapter. Math, I don’t even understand it, but I don’t have time to come in and ask for help because of Band. Band Festival is required and is worth a concert grade. I have to get at least a 1 Rating to get an A. The devotionals are daily, emailed analysis included. The support letter is due by Sunday. The enopi book is over 30 pages.

On a side note,
I truly believe my teachers are on something.
How can they all plan this heap of work in the same week when they have Teacher Planning Meetings like every day? Do they want to torture us until we fail? We have a due date and they bash at us if we don’t get it in time, but they can go and just grade our stuff whenever they feel like it. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

I’m stressed.

Write one leaf about Oz.

(via writeoneleaf)

I remember a couple of years ago, I was super excited because someone had just given us the Platinum Edition of Wizard of Oz with all the bonus features. I had never seen Dorothy in all her glory in the original version before- I’d only entertained myself with the Hello Kitty version.

Everyone said it was a classic! and that you shouldn’t live your life without watching it. I was expecting this amazing, sensational movie. I was really excited.

So I watched it, original version and all. And I was extremely disappointed.

It was so boring! How do people watch this over and over again?! I liked the Hello Kitty version better! It reminded me of one of those cheezy soap opera movies we watch in L.A. for our novel follow-ups. It was terribly disappointing.

I was sad.
